Class Levels Explained.
We have divided our Classes out by ability. We do this to ensure everyone gets the most out of a session at the Studio. If you are unsure what Level to book, please get in touch.
-
Our Beginner classes are the perfect starting point for anyone new to equipment-based Pilates. Even if you have previous mat Pilates experience, we recommend beginning here to become familiar with the equipment, movement patterns, and adaptations used within the studio. These classes focus on building confidence, understanding key terminology, and developing strong movement mechanics to progress you to the next level.
-
Our Intermediate classes are designed for clients with a strong understanding of the Reformer, Pilates terminology, and foundational movement patterns. Here we build on the basics, these classes challenge the body to move with greater control, coordination, balance and adaptability through more dynamic and progressive programming.
-
Our Advanced classes are designed for experienced clients who can move confidently and independently on the equipment, including making their own adjustments safely and efficiently throughout class. These sessions are physically demanding, with a strong focus on strength, control, balance, and advanced movement coordination. Clients attending Advanced classes are expected to have a solid understanding of the Pilates repertoire and be able to perform exercises with the technique, pace, and precision demonstrated by the instructor.
Due to the intensity and level of independence required, these classes are not suitable for those currently managing injuries or requiring ongoing equipment support.
-
Our Mixed Ability classes are suitable for clients at an Intermediate level and above, offering a balanced and adaptable approach to training. These classes are designed to accommodate a range of abilities, with progressions and regressions provided throughout so clients can modify exercises up or down depending on their individual experience, strength, and confidence. With guided options available throughout the class, clients are encouraged to move at a level that feels both challenging and supportive to their own body and practice.
